Melissa Mattilio

Consumer Marketing Manager, Turkey Hill

Melissa Mattilio grew up 3 miles from Turkey Hill Dairy in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.  She graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Agricultural Science in 1988.  Her first job was with Agway, a farmers’ feed store cooperative.  After a few years, she decided she didn’t have the vocation for making livestock feed or the back for heavy lifting.

Melissa returned to Penn State University and got a second B.S. degree in Professional Accounting.  She started working at Turkey Hill in 1995 as a consumer relations representative.  It was to be a “temporary” job until she could get a job in the accounting field. But she stayed, and through those years she has grown with the Marketing Department and is now Consumer Marketing Manager for the 6th largest ice cream company in the U.S.  

Melissa is responsible for creative development, media, public relations, sponsorship and promotion marketing, and consumer relations marketing. She absolutely loves her work and the immense variety of projects she handles.  

Melissa lives with her husband and 4 children, Chloe, Clare, Dominic, and Victor, in southern Lancaster County (now 11 miles from the Dairy), along with a few horses, dogs, and cats.  She is an avid runner and a big NFL fan.
