FPSA Welcomes Louis Townsend as Executive Director of the FIT Development Program

The Food Production Solutions Association (FPSA) is pleased to welcome Louis Townsend, MBA, as the new Executive Director of the Food Industry Technician (FIT) Development Program.

In this role, Townsend will provide strategic and operational leadership for the nationally recognized workforce development initiative, which prepares technicians for careers in food production equipment manufacturing and food processing companies.

Townsend brings more than 15 years of leadership experience across nonprofit, healthcare, and complex operational organizations. His background spans finance, operations, compliance, and organizational strategy, where he has overseen multimillion-dollar budgets, led cross-functional teams, and managed enterprise-wide functions including human resources, IT, facilities, and risk management. Throughout his career, he has led transformational initiatives that improved operational effectiveness, strengthened financial performance, and supported mission-driven growth.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from Anderson University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Indiana State University, and is based in Indianapolis, Indiana.

With Townsend’s leadership, FPSA looks forward to continuing to grow the FIT Program and expanding its impact in developing the next generation of skilled talent for the food production industry.
