George Reed Named President and Sergio Saez Named Vice President Sales

May 1, 2023 (Waynesboro, VA) — George Reed has been named President of the F.R. Drake Company,
global leader in the manufacture of industrial food loading equipment and a Middleby Corporation
brand (NASDAQ: MIDD). Mr. Reed was formerly Drake Executive Vice President and COO.

Reed will be responsible for strategy, product development, sales, and day-to-day operations, as
well as overseeing the continuing expansion and integration of Drake equipment into Middleby’s
comprehensive food production lines.

“I’m looking forward to leading Drake through this exciting period. We will continue to enhance our
traditional line of sausage loading equipment and will also be introducing new robotic loading
technologies in other areas of Middleby whole line solutions. We will be working closely with the
other Middleby Slicing and Loading brands and have an even greater focus on R&D than Drake has had
in the past.”

He holds an engineering degree from Virginia Tech with an MBA from Averett University and has been
a part of the Drake organization for over 20 years.

Sergio Saez has been promoted to F.R. Drake Vice President of Sales. He will be responsible for
expanding Drake and Middleby Food Processing sales globally offering custom
equipment engineering and the optimization of daily operations. Saez was previously Drake’s
International Sales Manager.

Mr. Saez received a Master of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications
Engineering from Universidad Tecnologica Nacional (Argentina) and also a Master's Degree in
Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the Universite des Technologie de Compiegne (France). He is
fluent in English and Spanish, and has proficiency in both Portuguese and French.
Drake, a brand in the Middleby Food Processing Group, is a market leader in sorting, aligning and
conveying cylindrical products via centrifugal, collator, launcher and robotic loading in
preparation for packaging.
