McLean, VA – The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) today announced the general session speakers for the 2017 FPSA Annual Conference taking place March 15-17 at the Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad, California.
FPSA will open the 2017 Annual Conference with keynote speaker Shane Battier, two time NBA champion with the Miami Heat and NCAA champion with the Duke University Blue Devils. Shane Battier has established himself as a scholar athlete, All-American leader, and philanthropist and will share his story of how to overcome adversity and achieve success through perseverance, leadership, goal setting and confidence.
A six time winner of the NBA “Sportsmanship Award”, Battier is known for his exemplary character and his commitment to community service. He and his wife launched “The Better Take Charge Foundation” to provide resources and programs for the development and education of underserved youths.
Joining Battier on the 2017 program is Brian Beaulieu, renowned economist, CEO and author. Beaulieu, one of FPSA’s most popular speakers, returns to the Annual Conference to share his insights with FPSA members on the potential impact of the recent Presidential election, BREXIT, the developing recovery in China, and leading indicator trends. All of this is to achieve the goal of increasing profitability based on business cycle trend analysis.
Beaulieu is one of the nation’s most informed economists and is consulted regularly by the media including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, OX Business, CNBC, Reuters, CBS Radio, Forbes and numerous other outlets.
“The 2017 Annual Conference is shaping up to be the one of the best ever. Coming off an excellent Sales Conference in September, we are looking to continuing the trend of providing an excellent networking and learning opportunity for attendees.” said Tom Kittle, Chairman of the Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) and President of Handtmann Inc. and Handtmann Canada Limited. “In addition to hearing from several outstanding keynote speakers, our Council breakout sessions will feature some of the industry’s most interesting food processors, creating new opportunities for learning and networking among peers and customers. Attending the Annual Conference truly gives our attendees a leg up on the competition.”
Registration for the 2017 FPSA Annual Conference opens on December 1st with an early-bird rate of $850 for FPSA members and $1,300 for non-members. Anyone interested in attending can register on-line at www.fpsa.org. For more information on the FPSA Annual Conference, contact Dolores Alonso at (703) 663-1226 or dalonso@fpsa.org.
