South Asian Food Inc. of Maspeth, NY, is recalling its 1875g packages of Bengal King Family Pack Vegetable Singara because they may contain undeclared peanuts.
This poses a serious or life-threatening risk to individuals with peanut allergies or sensitivities.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered that a peanut-containing ingredient was included in the product without being declared on the label. The company’s investigation indicates the issue was caused by unintentional human error in the packaging process.

Production of the product has been suspended while South Asian Food Inc. and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) work to resolve the issue.
