President’s Message – July 2020

“America was not built on fear. America was built on courage, on
imagination, and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand.”
~ President Harry S. Truman

As we near our national celebration commemorating Independence Day, the inspirational quote above seems particularly relevant as our country strives to deal with a multitude of challenges and issues. Our 33rd President’s wisdom that our country is based on courage, imagination, and determination, especially during these tempestuous times, seems to also accurately reflect what our membership is doing on a day-to-day basis in tackling the business challenges that each of you face. I applaud you for your tenacity, creativity, and resourcefulness as you continue “to do the job at hand” to meet the needs of your customers.

In my message last month I apprised you of our newly announced agreement with Messe Frankfurt, Inc., the North American subsidiary of German-based Messe Frankfurt, to assume responsibility of all aspects of PROCESS EXPO’s 2021 management including sales, marketing, operations, and sponsorships. By now all of you have received information from Messe Frankfurt as they continue to build the show floor and prepare to open up the general sales campaign. This is but the tip of the iceberg as together we have already begun working on the attendance marketing plan, show floor activities and the educational program, all of which are critical components in what we know will be an exceptional show next year.

I also want to recognize and applaud the winners of our Foundation’s Career Development Scholarships, click here to view the awardees for the 2020-2021 academic year. The winners of these scholarships are employees of FPSA member companies and family members and include: Michelle Saganich (Baumer Ltd), Alison Reust (Cybertrol Engineering), Victoria Langro (Festo Corporation), Claire Kredit (Interstates), Jack Monte (JBT), Lauren Stricek (Lee Industries, Inc), Alexandra Bowie (Multivac, Inc), Abbey Price (Multivac, Inc), Alyssa Schumacher (Provisur Technologies), Sarah Abushamma (Poly-clip System), Whitney Rylatt (Poly-clip System), Joseph Giacoio (Rheon USA), Ivee Richesin (Viskase Corporation), Socrates Pham (Whiting-Turner Contracting Co), and Nicholas Yager (Whiting-Turner Contracting Co).

Likewise, I would like to remind and encourage the membership to take advantage of several outstanding FREE webinars that have recently been held. These webinars can be easily accessed on the FPSA website under events by clicking here.
